The Unusual Suspects
Unlikely People. Unstoppable Grace.
In our teaching series, The Unusual Suspects, we explore the final moments leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion and the surprising people who appear in the story. The Gospels reveal a cast of unlikely characters—an overlooked woman offering extravagant worship, a betrayer seeking profit, religious leaders driven by fear, a disciple who denies Jesus, and followers who run away when things become dangerous. Through these moments, we see that Jesus’ saving work reaches people in their weakness, failure, and confusion. This series reminds us that the story of Jesus is not about perfect people, but about a Savior who makes room for everyone and invites us to place our identity, courage, and hope fully in Him.

God is sovereign and faithful, and I am secure in Christ’s victory, even if following Jesus looks like defeat.
