At the Movies: A Summer Series You Won’t Want to Miss!

Experience Church Like Never Before. Faith + Film Every Weekend This June.

Every summer, Westside Family Church transforms Sunday messages into something cinematic, creative, and deeply meaningful. Through the power of storytelling, we explore blockbuster films and uncover timeless Biblical truths within them. It’s one part message, one part movie - and all heart.

Jesus often taught in parables, stories that connected spiritual truth to everyday life. In At the Movies, we do the same.

Whether you’re a lifelong churchgoer or just curious about faith, this series is designed for you.

Summer 2025 Movie Lineup

Each week in June we’ll dive into a different film, unpacking the themes, characters, and turning points through a Biblical lens.

At the Movies: KiDS Edition

Big truths for little hearts, told through the movies they’ll love.

Every Sunday in June, while adults are watching their own movie-based message, Westside KiDS will have their very own At the Movies experience. Same idea. Different films. All fun and faith.

Each week features a high-energy environment, age-appropriate lessons, worship, games, and movie magic designed just for kids. Think of it like VBS, but every Sunday!

Why Movies?

Because stories stick. Jesus didn’t tell people what to think—He told stories that made them feel, reflect, and change.

A“Jesus did not tell them anything without illustrating it with a story.” – Matthew 13:34

Movies are the modern parables of our time. And the story of God? It’s written between the lines of some of our favorite films.
