David Beauchamp

Pastoral Elder

Pastor David R. Beauchamp, PhD is a retired U.S. Army Chaplain (Colonel), pastor, author, and speaker with more than 30 years of military service and decades of ministry experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts from the University of Kansas, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a PhD in Applied Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His dissertation focused on how churches can engage governing authorities in a nonpartisan, gospel-centered manner. 

David served as a pastor in Illinois before entering active-duty military chaplaincy in 1992. During his Army career, he served with conventional and special operations forces, completed six combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and concluded his service as Command Chaplain for United States European Command. His military awards include two Legion of Merit medals and two Bronze Star medals. 

Following retirement, David helped plant Westside Family Church in Leavenworth, Kansas, where he continues to serve as a Pastoral Elder. He is the Director of the Church Ambassador Network of Kansas, an initiative of ENGAGE, and is the founder of Temporary Ministries, a ministry that encourages people to live faithfully in light of what is eternal, not merely temporary.

David and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 43 years and serve together in ministry. They live in Kansas City, Kansas, and are blessed with four children and seven grandchildren.
