December fills up fast — parties, shopping, programs — and Christmas can quietly shrink to just our own circle. Most of us don’t want that. We want Christmas to mean something. We want our kids to experience giving, not just getting. We want to actually meet the neighbors we pray for.
That’s why we’re going to Woodland Village. At Christmas, God didn’t love us from a distance — He came near. Jesus is God with us. So we go near, too.
Decorate your trunk with Christmas cheer, bring small toys and candy, and watch kids walk from trunk to trunk filling their stockings. You get the Christmas you actually want — one that reaches beyond your own family, in one simple hour where you can see the joy on a child’s face. And a Woodland Village kid gets a moment made just for them that says: you are seen, you are celebrated, and you are loved. That’s how a family sees God through Christ — not in a flyer, but in people who showed up.
Everyone can serve. Come hand out treats on the day, or donate if you can’t be there.
Sunday, December 13, 3:00–4:00pm
Woodland Village Apartments, 2940 Ralph Bunche Drive, Leavenworth
Bring small toys, candies, or Christmas goodies to hand out
Can’t come on December 13? Your Christmas can still reach them.
Maybe your December is already full and being there in person just isn’t possible — that doesn’t have to mean sitting this one out. Donate small toys or candy and your gift will be there in a child’s hands, in your place. Fill out the registration form and let us know you’re donating, then bring your donation to Caroline Webster or Jenni Keltner by Wednesday, December 9. You can bring it on a Sunday or drop it by the church office during office hours.
Register to let us know you’ll be there — or that you’ll be donating — and make this a Christmas that reaches further.
