We’re Building a Family Around Families

Since launching in Fall 2023, Westside FAM (Foster & Adoptive Ministry) has become more than a support system, it’s a lifeline. Through Care Communities, events, prayer, and practical help, we’re making sure foster and adoptive families in our church never feel alone.

Love That Shows Up

Here’s what it looks like when the church becomes family.

  • "The Westside FAM crew VOLUNTEERED to watch ALL SEVEN of our kids. We were kid free for the first time in… ever. Thank you my church family. We enjoyed food, bowling, and arcade games as a couple."

    Jacob & Amber Elders

  • "Even those who are served by the ministry are stepping up to serve. When Ryan and I, leaders of the ministry, received three new foster children, Jennifer—typically on the receiving end—arrived with diapers in hand, living out Galatians 6:2: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”"

    Ryan & Myranda Agnew

Events & Outreach

A few of the ways Westside FAM has shown up:

  • Coat & Cold Weather Giveaway: 20 coats and winter essentials distributed

  • Adopt-a-Child Gift Cards: 216 gift cards donated to Cornerstones of Care for foster kids in Kansas

  • Child Dedication: 5 current foster children and future placements were dedicated in a special service

  • Parents Night Out: 14 volunteers provided games, dinner, and respite care for foster/adoptive families; each family received a $75 gift card for each foster/adoptive kid in their care to go towards Christmas gifts

Moving Forward in Faith

God is growing this ministry—and we’re ready.

We’re praying for:

  • More volunteers to join Care Communities

  • Continued financial support for meals, clothing, and gifts

  • A prayer partner for every foster/adoptive family
