The Word Is Spreading in Ethiopia–Thanks to You!
Because of the generosity and mission heart of Westside Family Church, thousands of people in Ethiopia are now hearing the Gospel, many for the very first time, in the language of their hearts.
Through your partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing and Promise Child, 250 Proclaimers (solar-powered audio Bibles) were sent to serve the Daasanach and Banna people groups, as well as others who speak Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia. These Proclaimers are helping entire communities listen to and respond to God’s Word.
A Pastor’s Story: Light Breaking Through Darkness
Among the first to receive one of these Proclaimers was Menab, a young pastor filled with passion for the Gospel. He shared:
“I attended a Bible listening group leader training and now I am eager to begin. I am a Gospel preacher, husband, and father to three sons.
Religious freedom does not exist where I live, and many people have not yet heard the Gospel. But when I encountered Christ’s teaching, my life changed forever.”
Menab once followed the dominant religion of his region, but after hearing God’s truth, everything shifted. Now, he feels called to share that same truth with his nine surrounding villages—using the Proclaimer as a tool to help people hear Scripture in their own tongue.
“I believe this tool will help break many free from spiritual bondage,” he said. “I look forward to witnessing what God will do.”

Every Proclaimer sent, every listening group started, every heart awakened, it all points back to the Great Commission. Your faithfulness is multiplying God’s Word in one of the most spiritually hungry corners of the world.
