Mental Health Awareness Week: You Don’t Have to Walk Alone

Many people carry struggles we cannot see. Anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional distress can affect children, adolescents, and adults—and sometimes taking the first step toward help feels overwhelming.

As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Week, we want you to know: You are deeply loved by God, and you do not have to face these difficulties alone. Seeking professional support is a courageous step, never a sign of weak faith.

At Westside, our vision is to wrap God’s family around your family. We want to be a community where people can speak honestly, find compassionate support, and connect with care that helps them move toward healing.

Find Care. Discover Hope.

On Sunday, October 18, join us for CareLink on the patio after each of our three services—8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or someone you love, CareLink will help you discover available resources and take a next step.

During the service, you’ll receive a Passport to Wellness. Afterward, visit three stations to explore:

  • Relationships: Discover support through Emotionally Healthy Relationships, marriage counseling, and premarital counseling.

  • Wisdom and Counsel: Learn about professional counseling for children, adolescents, and adults, confidential care through Stephen Ministry, and opportunities to meet with a pastor.

  • Wellness and Recovery: Connect with Celebrate Recovery, GriefShare, and our upcoming Surviving the Holidays event.

Collect a mark at each station, then turn in your completed passport at the raffle table to enter a gift card drawing.

Even if life is going well, come learn about resources you can share with others or turn to when a need arises. A caring conversation or connection could help someone take their first step toward support.
