Be the Church.
Meet the Need.
Partner with Westside and CarePortal to serve vulnerable kids and families in our community.
How It Works
Why CarePortal?
Every day, children and families in our community face real needs – foster care placements, housing insecurity, material poverty, and more. CarePortal is a powerful tool that connects those needs with people who are ready to help. It's a way for the Church to be the Church – not just in word, but in action.
How Does CarePortal Meet Needs in Our Community?
Local caseworkers, school counselors, and other frontline workers submit vetted needs into CarePortal. These needs are real, specific, and timely – like a bed for a child entering foster care. When these needs are entered, Westside receives an alert and can choose how to respond.
This system ensures that:
The needs are local and verified.
The Church is directly connected to opportunities for impact.
Families experience the love of Jesus through tangible acts of care.
What Is Westside’s Role?
Westside is part of a growing network of churches in our region using CarePortal to be a responsive, present, and generous force for good. Our role is to:
Receive and review local needs as they are submitted.
Invite members of our congregation to respond, either individually or as a group.
Deliver support with dignity, prayer, and compassion.
This is more than charity, it’s community.
